Pocso accused held for forging survivor’s age document to secure bail

Gurgaon: A 26-year-old man, accused in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act case, was arrested for allegedly forging documents related to a minor girl’s age in an attempt to secure anticipatory bail, police said. The accused, identified as Mohit, a resident of Prahladpur village in Faridabad, was arrested on Monday.According to police, a complaint was filed by the father of the survivor, alleging that a Pocso case was registered against Mohit in August 2025 at Sadar Ballabhgarh police station. However, the accused went absconding. Police said the accused, his brother and some of their associates forged the documents in a bid to misrepresent the age of the girl before the court.
