Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated strict legal action against coaching centres and commercial firms for defacing public property. Municipal commissioner Yashpal Meena directed executive officers across all zones to launch enforcement drives and penalise entities pasting posters on city walls or dividers. These unauthorised advertisements damage Madhubani paintings and cultural art done on roadside walls. Violators will face fines under the Bihar Municipal Act. Officials identified Boring Road and Patna Junction as high-violation zones. The administration urges residents to report illegal posters to assist in maintaining citywide cleanliness and preserving public infrastructure.
