Though clearances and approvals still remain a big headache for the industry, a ‘Single Window – One Stop Shop’ facility with 149 online permissions will simplify clearances for entrepreneurs, while a competitive index will benchmark departmental performance. To generate employment and attract global investment, the govt already announced a Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy, alongside the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy to boost the trading sector. The finance minister announced sector-specific clusters across the state: a toy park in Kota, stone parks in Nimbahera and Bundi, a ceramic park in Soniyana, a pharma park under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, and a block printing zone in Sanganer to preserve traditional crafts. Additionally, 18 new industrial areas will be developed to expand opportunities for manufacturing and allied industries. In a relief for MSMEs, stamp duty on loan documents was reduced to 0.125% (capped at Rs 10 lakh), easing access to credit and lowering compliance costs. Under the revised framework, MSME enterprises will receive benefits not only as per the new definition but also on expansion, ensuring wider coverage for small businesses, said the finance minister during her Budget speech.
