People smugglers are turning to lorries to get migrants into Britain from northern France as unsettled weather in the Channel leads to fewer small boat crossings, GB News can reveal.
Footage obtained by GB News shows migrants concealed in the back of a lorry, speaking to camera in a clip posted online over the weekend.
The video was followed by a screenshot showing what appears to be the exact location where migrants are being directed to meet in order to enter lorries bound for the UK.
The location is at the Dunkirk ferry terminal, just yards from a police station.
The clips were shared by a WhatsApp account which frequently posts smuggler-related content. One video focuses on a pin location in northern France before zooming across the Channel to Dover in Kent.
On Monday, the same WhatsApp account posted further clips showing dozens of migrants gathered in northern France.
Separate footage circulating on social media also appears to show migrants sneaking onto lorries by disguising themselves as workers.
A video posted on TikTok shows a man wearing orange high-visibility clothing with yellow reflective markings entering a lorry park. The man, believed to be Sudanese, also wears a face mask and a green hood to conceal his identity.

His TikTok profile shows him wearing the same clothing on previous occasions while working at night painting roads alongside others dressed in similar outfits, suggesting the disguise is intended to make him appear to be a security guard, workman or engineer.
The profile also features Union Jack emojis, appearing to indicate his intention to reach Britain.
A spokesperson for the National Crime Agency said: “Organised crime groups involved in people smuggling risk the safety of those they transport, and also threaten the border security of both the UK and France.
“Tackling organised immigration crime remains a top priority for the NCA and we have around 100 ongoing investigations into networks or individuals in the top tier of this type of criminality.”

GETTY/PAA Home Office spokesperson said: “GB News have not provided any evidence that the individual in the video successfully entered the UK. Evidence of people smuggling should be reported to Immigration Enforcement immediately.”
The spokesperson added: “We are toughening laws and strengthening work with our French partners to shut down smuggling routes, including through lorries and small boats. We are also stripping away the incentives pulling people to the UK unlawfully and making it far easier to remove or deport anyone entering the country illegally.”
Small boat crossings across the English Channel have continued to place intense pressure on Britain’s border system, with Home Office data showing 41,472 migrants made the perilous journey in small boats in 2025, the second-highest annual total on record.
Government figures also indicate that tens of thousands have crossed since Labour took office in July 2024, with nearly 66,000 irregular arrivals recorded under the current government to date.
Despite efforts such as the recent “one-in, one-out” agreement with France, only a few hundred people have been exchanged under that deal so far, as crossings persist.
The phenomenon has been ongoing since 2018, with more than 150,000 migrants arriving via small boats over that period.
