Panchkoshi route to be pothole-free before Mahashivratri

Varanasi: The Municipal Corporation has geared up for Mahashivratri in Kashi, with Commissioner Himanshu Nagpal ordering officials to fix potholes on the Panchkoshi route before the festival to ensure smooth pilgrim flow.Nagpal inspected key areas, including Kandeshwar Mahadev temple and Pancho Pandav, checking cleanliness, lighting, and road conditions.

During the inspection, he directed the officials to ensure cleanliness on the Shivpur Pancho Pandav route and in the Dharamshala premises. He said that there should be no sewerage or water leakage problems anywhere on the route.He directed officials to set up mobile toilets and ensure access to pure drinking water on the Panchkoshi route, aiming to make the pilgrimage comfortable for devotees.He took note of a non-functional toilet near Shri Rangeshwar Nath temple and directed officials to repair and reopen it before Mahashivratri. Faulty street lights on the route are also being fixed to ensure adequate nighttime lighting. “No compromise on devotee convenience,” he emphasized, urging timely completion of work.
