Waterford have confirmed that striker Pádraig Amond has signed a two-year extension to his contract.
The 37-year-old, who turns 38 in April, was the subject of interest from Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers over the winter months following his goalscoring exploits last year.
Amond was the Premier Division’s top scorer in 2025 with 14 goals, despite Waterford’s struggles which saw them narrowly avoid relegation to the First Division by defeat Bray Wanderers in a playoff.
