Kurukshetra: The Haryana elementary education department director-general suspended a TGT Hindi teacher, Sameer Kaushik, in connection with an alleged case of misconduct with a Class VII girl student in Kurukshetra district.The orders were issued following directions by chief minister Nayab Singh Saini in a ‘Jan Samvad’ programme in Ladwa on Wednesday after the family of the victim narrated their plight.
The family said despite the registration of an FIR under Pocso Act and sections of SC/ST Act on Dec 19 last year and arrest of Kaushik, departmental action had not initiated against him. According to the suspension order, the teacher’s headquarters were fixed at the office of the district elementary education officer, Kurukshetra. He will not leave the headquarters without prior permission and will be entitled to subsistence allowance as per Rule 83 of the Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules, 2016. MSID:: 127911337 413 |
