District Jail, Rae Bareli was inspected by Amod Kanth, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Rae Bareli under the guidance of Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Lucknow and Honorable District Judge/Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Rae Bareli Amit Pal Singh. During this time, the Secretary inspected the barracks of women prisoners in addition to the kitchen located in the District Jail and met the women prisoners to know about their well-being.
During the inspection, the Secretary took information from the women prisoners regarding the availability of advocates to represent their cases. After the inspection, a legal awareness program was also organized to make the women prisoners legally aware. The women prisoners present in this program were told about their legal rights and it was also told that the women prisoners who need a free lawyer can get free legal aid through the Legal Aid Clinic located in the jail.
During the inspection and legal awareness program, Jail Superintendent Prabhat Singh, Jailer Himashun Rautela, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Council Jaisingh Yadav, Jail Medical Officer Dr. Sunil Aggarwal and Deputy Jailors Ankit Gautam and Dharampal Singh were present.
