Officials told to speed up priority schemes in Kashi

Varanasi. A review meeting on development works on the CM Dashboard was held at the Circuit House auditorium on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Rajshekhar, nodal officer of the district and managing director, Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (rural).District magistrate Satyendra Kumar highlighted the district’s development works before the nodal officer.The nodal officer conducted a detailed review of the progress of govt priority schemes and directed concerned officials to ensure quality implementation of all schemes within the stipulated timeframe. He said that no negligence in public interest works would be tolerated.The review emphasised important points such as infrastructure development, health services, education, sanitation, drinking water, electricity supply and revenue collection. The nodal officer instructed officials to complete pending projects quickly and achieve 100% targets for beneficiary schemes. He asked them to ensure prompt and effective disposal of public grievances and to conduct field inspections regularly. The nodal officer reviewed some major schemes where the district’s expected progress was lacking, including social forestry, the ODOP toolkit scheme, the Scheduled Caste post-matric scholarship, construction of new roads, the CMIS portal, the PM Kusum scheme, the Jal Jeevan Mission – Har Ghar Jal scheme, Family ID, the 15th Finance Commission Gram Panchayat, the marriage grant scheme, and various projects, as well as continuous delays in the construction of new roads by the Public Works Department. He inquired about reasons for delays and the lack of expected progress and asked officials to look into it at headquarters level. The nodal officer asked all departments to work with full dedication.
