Nuh violence accused Bittu Bajrangi alleges cheating on pretext of marriage, case registered

GURGAON: Nuh violence accused Bittu Bajrangi who alleged that he was cheated of Rs. 33,000 on the pretext of marriage by a neighbour’s relative and his associates, who allegedly called him to Aligarh for a temple wedding and then disappeared. Faridabad Police have registered a case against three individuals based on his complaint at Saran police station. A senior police officer at Saran police station confirmed that a case has been registered and have launched a search for the accused. “Bittu Bajrangi came forward with the complaint and we have registered a case based on it.”Rajkumar alias Bajrangi, a resident of Sanjay Enclave in Faridabad, stated in his complaint that he came in contact with a man named Bunty through a neighbour’s acquaintance. Bajrangi in his complaint told police that due to family circumstances he was keen to get married and asked Bunty to find a suitable match for him.Bunty later introduced him to a woman named Rani, who spoke to him over phone and called him to Aligarh three times. She also arranged a marriage proposal with a girl. Bajrangi alleged, “The accused first took around Rs 3,000 from him as travel expenses. On September 5, 2025, the girl and her family members visited his home in Sanjay Enclave, where discussions were held and September 7 was fixed as the wedding date.”Ahead of the ceremony, Bunty and another accused, identified as Pradeep, allegedly took around Rs. 30,000 from Bajrangi for wedding-related arrangements. Bajrangi stated that he reached the designated temple in Aligarh on the scheduled date with preparations in place, but neither the girl nor the accused turned up.After returning from Aligarh, he approached the police and lodged a complaint. Following preliminary inquiry, Saran police station registered a case on Wednesday night under relevant sections of cheating and started efforts to trace the accused persons.Police said raids are being conducted at possible locations and further investigation is underway.
