As part of the special drive launched statewide by CID-CB Odisha against mule accounts, Nuapada police verified several suspicious bank accounts flagged by i4C (Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre) under the ministry of home affairs and the district cyber cell. The probe uncovered a structured fraud network operating through multiple bank accounts within Nuapada police station limits.During the investigation, police seized six mobile phones and transaction records linked to the racket. Out of the six arrested, three are mule account holders, while the other three acted as middlemen in the fraud. Police are now tracking the involvement of inter-state operatives connected to the syndicate, said SP (Nuapada) Amritpal Singh.
