Notorious Bihar criminals produced in Bengaluru court

Patna: Notorious criminals of the state capital—Manoj Singh and Manik Singh—who carry a reward of Rs 3 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively, and are members of the ‘Baap-Beta gang’, were presented in a Bengaluru court on Wednesday. Bihar STF special team arrested them in Bengaluru on Tuesday, and they were produced in court on Wednesday. During this, SHOs of Naubatpur and Danapur Sanjit Kumar and Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj, respectively were also present.Police recovered Rs11,290 in cash, a gold necklace, eight dongles, nine cellphones, and eight keypad phones from their possession.The father-son duo, accused in over 40 serious criminal cases, including murder, kidnapping, robbery, extortion, and Arms Act violations, hid in Bengaluru to evade arrest. They were wanted in multiple states, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. The STF tracked them down after intensifying operations against their gang and arresting eight associates.
