Nick Jonas is his wife Priyanka Chopra‘s biggest fan, and he has made no secret about it. While out promoting his new music, the actor and singer took a moment to share his excitement for Chopra’s upcoming action-adventure film ‘Varanasi’. Nick, who has been promoting his new album, ‘Sunday Best’, sat down for a podcast, where he got candid about his songs, the inspiration behind his music, working with his brothers and more. While he was at it, he even touched upon his wife, Priyanka’s upcoming film, directed by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Nick Jonas praises Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Varanasi’Revealing that his wife had already spent over a year working on the film, Nick shared, “Priyanka’s been shooting one for the last 14 months on and off. It’s a South Indian film by Rajamouli who directed ‘RRR’. This is his next big film… it’s going to be incredible.”

‘Varanasi’ marks Chopra’s first collaboration with Rajamouli, whose last outing ‘RRR’ made waves at the Oscars. Although the film was not nominated in the Best Foreign Film category, it went on to win the Oscar for Best Original Song, for ‘Naatu Naatu’. The track beat out several popular numbers, including Rihanna’s ‘Lift Me Up’ to score Oscar victory. While details about ‘Varanasi’ remain largely unclear, Rajamouli revealed that the film will feature a 25-minute Ramayana scene that alone took 60 days to shoot. Meanwhile, cast members Priyanka, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj teased a dance number that is also expected to be a highlight of the film. Priyanka Chopra’s film slateOn the work front, Priyanka’s next Hollywood venture, ‘The Bluff’ will have its digital release on February 25. The film will see the actress starring in an R-rated film alongside Karl Urban. Nick Jonas’ upcoming projectsNick, on the other hand, has been keeping up with a tight film schedule. After wrapping up the Jonas Brothers tour, he kicked off work on his next action film ‘Jumanji’. He also released his new album ‘Sunday Best’ last Friday.
