Patna: The NDA partners in Bihar praised the Union Budget. Addressing a joint press conference at the BJP office on Monday, BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi said it will prove significant in the industrial development of Bihar. He said this Budget has provision of Rs1,62,142 crore for Bihar, of which Rs1,51,831 crore will be received as a share of central taxes, which is Rs 11,726 crore more than last year.Saraogi said the Budget will prove to be very effective in boosting industries in Bihar in the coming times. He said it includes special budgetary provisions for the welfare of the poor and for self-help groups for the empowerment of women.According to a press statement, the Centre continues to make sustained, transformative investments in Bihar. For 2026-27, Rs1.51 lakh crore has been budgeted for Bihar as tax devolution, while Rs54,575 crore has been provided as grants-in-aid for 2025-26. Between 2014 and 2026, Bihar received Rs9.72 lakh crore in tax devolution and Rs2.80 lakh crore in grants-in-aid, reflecting a substantial increase in financial support for the state’s development.“Beyond the Finance Commission recommendations, Bihar has been a significant beneficiary of the special assistance to States for Capital Expenditure Scheme, which provides 50-year, interest-free loans for capital investment. A total of Rs40,441 crore has been released to Bihar under this scheme between FY 2020-21 and Jan 2026, with yearly allocations rising from Rs843 crore in 2020-21 to Rs14,791 crore in 2024-25 and Rs6,289 crore in 2025-26 (till Jan 2026),” it stated.LJP(RV) state chief Raju Tiwari said it reflects a commitment to fulfilling the basic needs of the common people while Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) state president Alok Singh said the Budget will further strengthen the foundation of India’s bright future.JD(U) spokesman Neeraj Kumar said it is unconventional, placing inclusive development, self-reliant India, and green growth in a new framework while Hindustani Awam Morcha (S) state vice-president D N Sinha described the Union Budget as positive, saying it is balanced and commendable, envisioning the fulfilment of the resolutions of a developed India.
