Mumbai’s water supply to be affected for 3 days from Jan 20 to Jan 22

Mumbai: Water supply will be affected in some areas of BMC wards such as G North, K-East, S, H-East and N ward from Jan 20 to Jan 22 and there will also be changes in regular water supply timings, for carrying out pipeline connection work, as a section of the 2400 mm diameter Upper Vaitarna main water pipeline has been diverted for the Metro Line 7A project work. The work on a cross connection of this diverted section will be carried out by BMC in the K-East ward. The work will be carried from 9 am Jan 20 till 5 am on Jan 22. As a result, there will be low pressure water supply according to different schedules in some areas of G North, K East, S ward, H East and N wards. There will also be changes in regular water supply timings. Additionally, water supply will be completely shut off in some areas. Citizens of G North, K East, H East, N and S wards have been advised by BMC to store necessary water as a precautionary measure and use water sparingly during the repair period. Also, as a precautionary measure, citizens have been asked to boil and filter water before drinking for the next few days.
