Mumbai: A 35-year-old police constable was injured after a motorcyclist rode over his foot while trying to flee a police check-post at Malad (E) early on Sunday. Kurar police have registered an FIR against the unknown motorcyclist.

The incident occurred on the service road of Western Express Highway near Pathanwadi junction. Police had put up a nakabandi to check for drunk and rash drivers late at night. The biker rode over constable Rahul Vanve’s left foot in a bid to flee. Vanve was rushed to a hospital.
