Chennai: A 49-year-old mechanic, Krishnan, of Pozhichalur near Pallavaram, working with Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) died after a jack collapsed while he was repairing a bus at the K K Nagar bus depot. Police said Krishnan was working beneath a bus to replace a spring, when the jack supporting the bus gave way and crushed him. His colleagues rushed him to ESI Hospital at K K Nagar, but doctors declared Krishnan dead on arrival.tnn
