Mon PHCs get 2 new ambulances

Dimapur: The National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has donated two ambulances under its CSR initiative to Tizit PHC and Wakching PHC in Mon district. The handover took place on Friday.Mon deputy commissioner Wennyei Konyak formally handed over the keys to the district’s chief medical officer and flagged off the vehicles to their respective destinations. The move marks a significant step toward strengthening emergency medical response and healthcare delivery in the district.Konyak urged the PHCs to take ownership of the vehicles and use them judiciously to serve the needs of the people. He also expressed gratitude to NHIDCL for its generous contribution.This is not the first time NHIDCL has extended support to Nagaland’s healthcare sector. In April 2021, the corporation donated 24 basic life support (BLS) ambulances to the state government, followed by four more ambulances to the Nagaland police in Oct 2021.
