Missing biker’s body found after 45-hr search

Kanpur: The body of 35-year-old biker Anil, who fell into the Shyampur Bamba canal in the Raniya area of Kanpur, was recovered on Sunday after a search operation that continued for approximately 45 hours. He was missing since the accident on Friday night. Anil, a resident of Barra, was returning to Kanpur with his three companions from a wedding ceremony in Gajner on Friday. Near Shyampur Bamba, he was blinded by the bright lights of a vehicle and crashed into a culvert. Pankaj Pandey, on the pilion, sustained injuries while Anil was thrown into the deep water.Raniya police station in-charge Shiv Narayan Singh reached the spot with police force. Police personnel jumped into the swollen canal to save the youth, but could not succeed . Singh said that the body was recovered on Sunday. With the help of SDRF and local divers, the body was pulled out nd was sent to the mortuary for post-mortem.tnn
