Vadodara: Minor tremors were felt in villages near Godhra on Sunday morning. The intensity of the tremors was registered at 2.7 on the Richter scale.Villagers in Padhiyar, Velvad, Vinzol, Kakanpur and nearby village said that they felt the tremors.
Sources said that some people also heard a sound like an explosion at this time.
Data available with the Institute of Seismological Research revealed that the tremors was recorded at 10.34am on Sunday.The tremors surprised most people in the area, as they have not experience such incident in the recent past. Many came out of their homes to see what transpired. Since the tremors were of very low intensity, they did not cause any damage in the area.
