Minor kidnapped on way to tuition, FIR against 2

Ludhiana: The Ludhiana police have booked two persons for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl after she had gone for tuition with her brother. The girl’s family has named one of the accused in its police complaint.

According to the father of the girl, his 14-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son had gone for tuition on Wednesday and in the evening, his son returned home alone and told that his sister had been reportedly taken away by two young men in a white car. The father said when he investigated on his level, one of the accused was identified. He added that he has suspicion that the accused along with his accomplice had taken his minor daughter away by luring her with the promise of marriage. As per the complainant, they immediately informed the police. Cops at Daba police station have registered a case under sections 137 (2) (kidnapping related) and 96 (procuration of a child) of the BNS.Investigating officer of the case ASI Dharam Pal said the accused were yet to be arrested and raids were being conducted to nab them.
