Ahmedabad: The city recorded a minimum temperature of 14.1°C on Monday, marking a significant 2.2°C departure above the seasonal normal. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) bulletin, the city’s mercury levels have largely stabilized around the 14°C mark, with a similar minimum temperature projected for Tuesday. This trend reflects a broader atmospheric pattern across the state, with the local weather office predicting that temperatures will remain relatively steady over the next few days. The current weather conditions are being driven by consistent northerly to north-easterly winds sweeping across the region. While the capital remained mild, other parts of Gujarat witnessed a sharper chill. Amreli emerged as the coldest pocket in the state, being the only station to record a sub-10°C temperature at 9.6°C. Other notable lows included 11.2°C in Naliya, which is typically the state’s coldest point, followed by 12.3°C in Deesa and 12.8°C in Porbandar. Despite these dips elsewhere, the central Gujarat region continues to experience a stabilized thermal environment.
