Gurgaon: A western disturbance is active in the north and another system is expected to affect the western Himalayan region from Feb 8. India Meteorological Department (IMD) says its impact on the plains will be limited to strong surface winds, shallow fog in isolated places, and temperature fluctuations, with no rainfall forecast for Haryana, including Gurgaon.

IMD’s Chandigarh centre said the current system, positioned over north-east Iran and Afghanistan, is being steered eastwards by mid-tropospheric westerlies, creating pressure gradients that may cause gusty surface winds across the region over the next three days. A fresh western disturbance likely to influence the western Himalayas from Feb 8 is also not expected to bring precipitation to Haryana.
