Bengaluru: A 42-year-old milk booth owner was attacked with a knife by a rowdy-sheeter and his associates after he objected to them creating a public nuisance in Avalahalli on Mysuru Road.The accused, Seena alias Havali Seena, 24, a resident of Avalahalli, was arrested Monday evening for the attack. The injured milk booth owner, identified as Vinay MC, is a resident of the same area. According to the complaint filed by Vinay with Byatarayanapura police, he called a friend, also named Vinay, to join him for a post-dinner walk on Jan 23. The friend reached his house around 9pm, and the two walked towards the 36 ‘D’ BMTC bus stand in Muneshwara Block, Avalahalli. While walking, they noticed rowdy-sheeter Seena and two of his associates shouting and creating disturbance. The complainant confronted Seena and asked him and his friends to leave the place. The complainant then received a call from his wife asking him to return home. At that moment, Seena and his associates pushed him, causing his mobile phone to fall to the ground. When he turned around, Seena allegedly abused him in filthy language, dared him to object, and threatened to kill him. As the complainant bent down to pick his phone, Seena allegedly attacked him with a knife, striking him forcefully on the right side and front of his head.When his friend attempted to intervene and prevent the assault, they beat him up him too. Hearing their screams, locals rushed to the spot, prompting the assailants to flee.A police officer said Seena is a rowdy-sheeter with cases registered at Hanumanthanagar, Girinagar and Byatarayanapura police stations.
