Hosted by Ritwik Sinha at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, it was the kind of evening that unfolded slowly. Low lighting, a live band and a singer taking the stage for a relaxed set that moved through Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon and Kaisi Yeh Paheli Hai before drifting into a closing medley of Hawa Hawai. The music stayed easy, the conversation easier, and the room settled into the comfortable rhythm of people who know each other well.

The soirée drew a warm mix of the city’s familiar faces. Ritwik was joined by wife Ridhima and parents Uday Sinha and Garima. Also present was Rajeev Shukla, MP, Rajya Sabha and BCCI vice-president, alongwith India opener Abhishek Sharma and former cricketer Suresh Raina, who settled in for an unhurried evening away from the spotlight. Conversation of course centred around cricket among other topics, but the mainstay remained a relaxed evening spent with friends.
