Chandigarh: The MC in collaboration with Bank of Baroda will launch a monthly pass parking system, branded as ‘MC One Pass’, from Jan 27. The initiative aims to modernise the city’s parking management by introducing a fully digital and transparent system for residents and daily commuters. Under the scheme, citizens can avail monthly parking passes at Rs 250 for two-wheelers and Rs 500 for four-wheelers.MC chief Amit Kumar said the One Pass system was a step towards smart urban mobility and efficient parking management. The monthly pass will be valid at all MC-managed parking sites, including surface parking opposite Elante Mall, parking areas in Sectors 17, 22 and 35, Lake parking, the multi-level parking in Sector 17, and other designated MC locations. The complete list of parking sites is available on www.mcchandigarh.gov.in and www.bankofbaroda.bank.in. Citizens can obtain the pass by scanning QR codes available on the MC and bank websites, at parking sites and in newspapers, without the need to visit any office. tnnThe MC said the pass-based parking system will be expanded in a phased manner to additional parking locations across the city to ensure uniform and hassle-free digital parking facilities.
