Patna: The body of 35-year-old worker Mahesh Mahto was found in State Bank lane under Agamkuan police station area in Patna City on Sunday morning. Locals alerted police, who cordoned off the spot and called a forensic team before sending the body for the postmortem. Family members alleged he was beaten to death over a dispute linked to the recent theft of his handcart. Mahesh had left home on Saturday night and did not return. Police are investigating the allegations and awaiting the autopsy report.
