Gurgaon: The municipal corporation of Manesar (MCM) has removed more than 28 hoardings installed illegally on unipoles across the corporation’s area. Officials said legal action would be taken against those responsible for causing losses to the corporation’s revenue.The hoardings were removed from Sector 76, 84, 85, 86, Sati Chauk, Sikanderpur Badha village and the surrounding area. Local police’s help was taken during the action.
Joint Commissioner Lokesh Yadav said, “The corporation earlier issued warnings to those putting up illegal advertisements. We conducted a digital survey and GIS mapping of all its unipole sites. Action will be taken on all such hoardings installed without permission.”He added that FIRs will be filed against those responsible and fines will be levied.The civic body also started a digital land survey under the centre’s Naksha project, which aims to create digital records of every private and govt property as part of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme.
