Kanpur: A woman accused her husband of raping their eight-year-old daughter for multiple times. The police have registered a case and sent the accused to jail on Tuesday.In her complaint, the woman stated that her husband worked at a private firm and they had an eight-year-old daughter and a son. She alleged that her husband often skipped work due to liquor addiction causing financial difficulties and she as forced to work in households to support the family.The woman said that her daughter was quiet and depressed for several days. On asking her, the child revealed that her father sexually assaulted her when the mother was not at home. The woman reported the matter to the police on Tuesday night. Based on her complaint, the police arrested her husband and sent him to jail.Fazalganj station in-charge Sanjay Singh stated that the woman’s husband is an addict and, in an intoxicated state, has sexually assaulted their child multiple times.
