Patna: Police arrested 19-year-old Vijendra Bind from Jehanabad’s Okari area for allegedly killing his wife over a domestic dispute at Machhli Gali under Shastri Nagar police station area of Patna on Jan 21. The fight escalated over her making dance reels or videos, which the husband opposed. In rage, he struck her with a grinding stone (silbatta), causing fatal head injuries. The weapon was seized, and an FIR was registered under BNS Sections 103(1), 80, and 3(5) on the complaint of the victim’s father, Ranjit Bind. Vijendra’s father, Renuvir Bind, Champa Devi, and Chani Devi were also named in connection with prior abuse. City SP (Central) Diksha confirmed the arrest, court production, and the ongoing probe into other accused and circumstances.
