Man held for celebratory firing in Jalaun

Kanpur: A man was arrested for celebratory firing at a wedding in Sirsakalar police station area of Jalaun district. Police caught the accused with a licensed revolver after a video of the incident went viral on social media.The incident occurred on Feb 15 at a guest house in Nyamatpur village. After investigation, Sirsakalar police arrested the accused, Prabhat Ranjan alias Ravi, son of late Harnarayan Pal of Amguwan village. Police have also seized the licensed revolver used in the crime. ASP Jalaun Pradeep Kumar Verma said, “A case was registered against Prabhat under Arms Act. Police warned people that celebratory firing is prohibited and strict legal action will be taken against those who indulge in such act”.tnn
