Hisar: A local court sentenced a man to life imprisonment and fined him Rs 40,000 for the murder of a nine-year-old boy by drowning him in a canal nearly five years ago. According to the prosecution, Sunil, a resident of Bhana village, carried out the murder over suspicion of an illicit relationship between the victim’s father and his wife. On May 22, 2021, Sumit, the child, was playing outside his house when Sunil allegedly lured him away on his motorcycle.
