Kanpur: A man and his daughter received death threats over a phone call from a youth residing in Lucknow’s Sharda Nagar, after he became angry over communication being cut off. Police registered a case and began an investigation.According to the victim, who resides in a locality in Panki, his daughter is a final-year student of BCom Honours at CSJM University. During her studies, she became acquainted with the accused. They started talking, but later, when she learnt about the accused’s drug addiction from friends, the daughter stopped communication and maintained distance. After this, the angry youth called them and threatened to kill them while hurling abuses. When they protested, the accused started calling the student and threatening her, saying he would make her father’s life miserable. Panki inspector Manoj Bhadauria said that a case was registered and the accused was being searched for.
