Patna: A man and his teenage daughter died in a road accident after a truck rammed their motorcycle in Sadar police station area of Muzaffarpur on Monday. The victims, Shrikant Rai (48) and his daughter Aastha Kumari (19) of Maniyari area, were returning home after shopping when the truck hit their bike from behind near Kachchi-Pakki Chowk, crushing them under its wheels. Locals alerted police, who sent the bodies to the SKMCH for the postmortem. The driver fled, abandoning the truck, which has been seized. Police are examining CCTV footage to trace the accused.
