Man attacked for objecting to bike parked in ambulance space

Chandigarh: A manager of a private firm was allegedly attacked by a group of youths after he objected to a motorcycle being parked in an ambulance parking area in Sector 9. The incident occurred on Jan 21.The victim, Vipin, a resident of Lalru in Mohali, was admitted to GMSH, Sector 16, for treatment. Sector 3 police have registered a case against Aarush Sharma, a resident of Sector 50-C, and his associates on the basis of Vipin’s complaint, and are searching for the accused.In his complaint, Vipin said he works as a manager at Enter Enterprises, located at SCO nos. 156-159 in Sector 9-C. He said a group of youths had come to a nightclub operating in the basement of the building, and one of them, identified as Aarush, parked his Bullet motorcycle in front of an IVF hospital situated in the same complex.When Vipin asked Aarush to move the vehicle, explaining that ambulances frequently use the space, Aarush allegedly started abusing him and also used abusive language against his employer, Jora Singh.Vipin alleged that Aarush then called five to six friends who were inside the nightclub, and they assaulted him. During the scuffle, one of the accused allegedly shouted to take out a weapon from a vehicle, threatening to kill him.Vipin said he alerted the police by dialling emergency number 112. Police reached the spot and later registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC. Officials said the accused would be arrested soon.
