Vadodara: The Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has arrested a man who allegedly cheated more than 60 people of Rs 7.48 crore. The accused, identified as Talvinder Sandhu, had been absconding since a complaint was filed at the CID (crime), Gandhinagar police station in Dec last year.Police said they tracked Sandhu to Dumad crossroads on National Highway 48, where he was apprehended. Sandhu had taken a franchise of a company and set up an office in Gandhinagar, promising clients visas to Canada across various categories.He reportedly collected money from aspirants, producing bogus letters from companies to facilitate visa applications. Between 2020 and 2024, none of the clients received visas, prompting them to register a cheating complaint against him.
