Jalandhar: Congratulating the BJP-led Mahayuti for its victory in the Maharashtra municipal corporation elections, Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhuma has said the credit for this win went to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.The Taksal head also claimed that all the candidates who were given tickets on his recommendations registered impressive victories.
The congratulatory message was posted on the Taksal chief’s Facebook page. “In Maharashtra, the Mahayuti achieved a remarkable victory in the corporation elections. This victory is credited to the very astute chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis. The candidates who were given tickets in these corporation elections on the recommendation of Sant Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, the leader of Damdami Taksal, also achieved significant victories,” read the post.It further stated that the Taksal chief congratulated Fadnavis on the victory and also extended congratulations to the winning candidates of the Mahayuti. He mentioned that Sikhs were a minority outside Punjab, and they hoped that these victorious candidates would address the issues of Sikhs and other minorities in a state like Maharashtra with great wisdom and consideration.Pictures of six successful candidates, along with the pictures of Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh with Fadnavis, were also posted with the message.The Taksal extended support to the BJP-led Mahayuti during the Maharashtra assembly elections in Nov 2024.
