UP NEWS: Special vigilance is being exercised from the security point of view in the Maha Kumbh organized in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. In view of the recent threats given by Khalistan supporter Gurpatwant Singh Pannu and others, the police department is implementing various security measures so that no untoward incident takes place in the fair. In this context, to make the security arrangements even more foolproof, the administration has issued e-passes of six different colors.
E-passes of different colors have been prescribed for different categories of persons visiting the fair during Mahakumbh 2025. Through these passes, every person will get special facilities according to his identity. To ensure security, quota has been fixed according to the category in the process of issuing e-passes, so that it is easy for the security officials to identify each person. In particular, the fair administration has issued white colored e-passes for High Court, foreign ambassadors, foreign nationals and NRIs.
Apart from this, saffron coloured e-passes are being given to akhadas and religious institutions, while yellow coloured e-passes will be for working agencies, vendors, food courts and milk booths. Sky blue coloured passes will be given to media personnel. Blue coloured e-passes will be issued for the police force and red coloured e-passes have been prescribed for emergency and essential services.
