Martin Zubimendi is back in the news. Arsenal appear to be pursuing the Real Sociedad midfielder as they were last summer before Liverpool tried and failed to prise the player from San Sebastian.

Arsenal are seemingly the frontrunners to sign the Spain international, with reports varying wildly from those claiming it is an inevitable move to nothing more than interest at this stage. Manchester City have also been linked with the Reds target.

However, Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Nurnberg to sign striker Stefanos Tzimas this summer. The 19-year-old is on a season-long loan from PAOK.

Nurnberg are reputedly obligated to sign Tzimas permanently for £15m at the end of the season, but there are claims they would be willing to flip the player if someone pays them £ 20 million this summer.

Liverpool swap deal ‘considered’Real Madrid ‘considering’ second Trent offer

Real Madrid are ‘considering’ making a second offer to Liverpool to try and sign Trent Alexander-Arnold in the January transfer window.

The Reds turned down an initial offer from the Spanish club earlier in the window. According to Dario as, that offer was around €15 million (£12.7m).

The report adds thet Real Madrid are ‘considering’ raising their offer to €20 million (£16.9m), but there is a feeling that Liverpool will again turn down that offer.

Liverpool have ‘indicated a willingness’ for a potential swap deal with Bournemouth involving Ben Doak and Antoine Semenyo.

The Reds have been linked with an interest in the Bournemouth man, but are unlikely to want to pay the Cherries’ £50 million asking price.

However, the Northern Echo claim that Liverpool could use Bournemouth’s interest in Doak, who is currently on loan at Middlesbrough, to try and reduce the price.

Trent ‘will be thinking’ about Real Madrid

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey has said that Trent Alexander-Arnold will be thinking about interest from Real Madrid, with is situation different to that of Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk due to coming up through the academy.

The Reds have brushed off interest from the Spanish side in the January window, but the right-back could still agree a move away on a free transfer in the summer.
