Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority tableau clinched first prize at the Republic Day 2026 parade in the category for administrative and educational institutions. The Jan Bhawan Secretariat tableau bagged second prize, while the UP Information and Public Relations Department came third. The State Water Supply and Sanitation Mission got the consolation prize. Deputy secretary Madhavesh Kumar, nodal officer of the Tableau Committee, said judges awarded marks to decide results. He noted that Governor Anandiben Patel will present trophies to winners at the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony. The LDA tableau depicted Lucknow’s urban transformation. A model of Rashtra Prerna Sthal from the Basant Kunj scheme formed the centrepiece. The Jan Bhawan Secretariat entry marked 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’.
