Noida: A labourer was injured after a boundary wall collapsed during foundation digging work at a residential plot in Mamura village under Phase-3 police station limits on Monday evening.Police said that as the digging work was underway, the boundary wall of an adjacent plot suddenly gave way and fell on a worker engaged at the site. The injured labourer was identified as Mehboob Akhtar, a resident of Mamura village.
People present at the site rushed to Akhtar’s aid and informed the police. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, where doctors said his condition was stable and out of danger.Police from Phase-3 police station reached the spot soon after receiving information and ensured the situation was brought under control. Officers said the collapse appeared to have occurred due to the weak foundation of the adjoining wall. No other injuries were reported.
