KTR calls for united fight against Congress failures

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao alleged that the Congress govt has neither the time nor the intention to care for the people and has abandoned all the promises it made before coming to power in Dec 2023. Expressing confidence in the people of Telangana, KTR said citizens would teach the Congress a fitting lesson and stand firmly with the party in the upcoming elections.Speaking at a meeting after inducting former MLA and BJP leader Aroori Ramesh at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday, the BRS leader called upon party workers to secure a massive victory in the forthcoming municipal elections. He urged party cadres to fight unitedly against the Congress govt’s failures and to deliver a decisive mandate in the municipal polls. He appealed to party workers not only to focus on the municipal elections but also to prepare for every forthcoming poll by strengthening support for the pink flag and the ‘Car’ symbol, with the aim of bringing K Chandrashekar Rao back as chief minister.KTR further stated that while the Congress had been in power in Telangana for two years and the BJP at the Centre for 12 years, neither party delivered meaningful development. He alleged that the state is being run incompetently and that chief minister Revanth Reddy lacks administrative ability. He claimed that instead of focusing on governance, the chief minister had been resorting to indiscriminate criticism of the previous BRS govt. He accused the Congress of making sweeping promises to come to power and then completely neglecting their implementation. When questioned about these promises, KTR said the govt allegedly responds with threats, cases, and falsehoods, making dishonesty a habit of governance. He further alleged that the Congress govt is trying to evade accountability by citing debt figures. While the RBI and the CAG have indicated that debt levels are only nominal, the BRS working president claimed that the Congress govt is inflating figures and presenting misleading accounts. He recalled that during KCR’s tenure, every rupee borrowed was utilised for welfare and development, including irrigation projects, drinking water schemes, educational institutions, and hospitals.
