Bengaluru: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) penalised 4,353 passengers a total of over Rs 8 lakh for travelling without tickets. In Dec 2025, its security and vigilance wing inspected 43,553 buses across the state. Inspectors also detected pilferage by conductors amounting to over Rs 1.1 lakh. KSRTC said disciplinary action has been initiated against those involved.16 acres of encroached govt land reclaimed in Anekal talukBengaluru: Recovering govt land from encroachers, Bengaluru Urban district administration Saturday, cleared illegal occupation on 16 acres across Anekal taluk. The reclaimed land parcels include gomala land, rajakaluves and other public properties. The operation, led by deputy commissioner Jagadeesha G, is estimated to have recovered land worth over Rs 80 crore. After the eviction, officials posted notices at the sites warning against trespassing and stating that violators would be subject to action.
