Khalistani terrorist absconding for 31 years nabbed by UP ATS

Lucknow: A joint team of UP anti-terrorism squad (ATS) and Gautam Budh Nagar police arrested a Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) terrorist absconding for nearly 31 years in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar in Punjab’s Mohali district on Wednesday.Sukhwinder Singh Dhillon (63), facing murder charges among many other criminal cases in Punjab, has been arrested in an arms case lodged against him in Noida Sector 20 police station in 1993. “Earlier, Sukhwinder was arrested on April 18, 1993, for possessing an AK-56 rifle and 121 live cartridges. On Dec 9, 1993, he was granted bail. However, after Aug 16, 1995, he failed to appear before the court and absconded. A non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against him,” an ATS officer said.

ATS traced Sukhwinder, aliases Dayal Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Chhinda, through technical surveillance, human intelligence, and coordination with other agencies.Sukhwinder faces murder cases in Kapurthala (1992) and Jalandhar (1984), and attempted murder and assault on a public servant in Phagwara (1985), along with several cases under Public Gambling Act in Kapurthala (1983 and 1987).
