Kanpur. The police on Monday conducted a thorough questioning by the police on seven hours remand on Monday, accused in the murder of BSP leader Pintu Sengar. As soon as he came out of jail, Dinu got emotional and wept bitterly. Even after reaching the Cantt police station after medical, when he could not find any lawyer present, he started crying again. Later, when the police took her to her house, she entered the house and said, “I am suffering the sins of my niece.” The police somehow pacified him and searched the house.

Efforts to wander in interrogation

According to the police, Dinu initially tried to wander the investigation and tried to hide the information. But when the police placed evidence in front of him, he broke and gave information related to the murder. He also revealed the relationship and role with Mahfooz, Saud and Pappu Smart. Initially, the questions related to the property were also given a round -romantic answers, but under pressure, he gave information about the names and assets of some colleagues.

Office and home searched
Police investigated for about 45 minutes at the Anandeshwar Associate office in Raina Market. Dinu was later taken to the Nawabganj police station and taken to the places from where there was a possibility of evidence related to the murder.

Mobile not found
Dinu’s mobile has not been recovered. Police suspect that mobile may have audio, video or other important documents related to murder. The police also investigated the process of removing the name and then the policemen associated with Dinu, the name of the case and then.

Bar Association General Secretary also arrived
During Dinu’s remand, Bar Association General Secretary Amit Singh was also present in Raina Market with a team of lawyers. Till the investigation was completed, he stayed there and later reached the Nawabganj police station.

Call details revealed from CDR
The prosecution said that was in constant contact between Dinu, deceased Pintu Sengar and accused Mahfooz Akhtar. On the day of the incident, Pintu was talked about twice and three months before the incident, a call was made five times. All these calls are mentioned in the case diary.

Old controversy, new investigation
The police had filed for remand for 40 bighas of land dispute. This dispute has been going on for nearly 90 years. The court has approved remand till 31 May in this regard.

Background: Pintu Sanger Murder Case
On 30 June 2020, BSP leader Pintu Sengar was shot dead in Jajmau. Pintu’s brother Dharmendra Sengar nominated many people, including Dinu Upadhyay and Aridaman Singh. In the initial deliberations, the names of both were deliberately removed, on which the then Inspector Sabhajit Mishra was suspended.

After the complaint of Dharmendra Sengar and Advocate Sandeep Shukla, the case was re -investigated and a charge sheet was filed against Dinu and Aridaman. On May 10, Dinu was arrested and sent to jail, while Aridaman’s arrest is also likely.

The case is highlighting the complex network, collusion and long -run ground rivalry layers behind a political murder. The police is now engaged in connecting every link in the case.
