Kanpur Crime News: The body of a JE of UPPCL was found lying in a room under suspicious circumstances in the Phulkhana police station area. The office was closed on Tuesday due to holiday. The family members called him several times at night but the call was not received. On this, they sent the landlord to check.When the landlord reached the spot, the door was locked from inside. During this time, there was no response to the call. After this, the police was immediately informed. The police broke the door, where his stiff body was lying on the ground and food was spread nearby. The forensic team thoroughly examined the room. After this,
the family members were informed about the incident.
At present, the family has not made any allegations. 55-year-old Ghananand Joshi, a resident of Gudamba Adarsh ​​Nagar Kalyanpur, Lucknow, was posted as Junior Engineer (JE) in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited UPPCL in Kanpur since the year 2022.
He came here after being transferred from Lucknow Shakti Bhawan. His younger brother Narayan Joshi said that he was living in a rented room in Patkapur of Phulkhana police station area. The family consists of wife Deepa Joshi and two sons. He said that the office was closed on 25 December due to Christmas holiday.
Due to this he was in his room. He told that on Tuesday night his family members called him but the call was not received. After some time he called several times but the call was not received. Due to this he started getting nervous.
On this, the family members called the landlord and asked him to talk to them. When he reached the spot, the door was locked from inside. Fearing something untoward, the police was informed. Field House Inspector Ravindra Pratap Singh reached the spot with the force. During this, the forensic team was called and the crime scene was investigated. He said that prima facie investigation suggests a case of heart attack.
The family has not made any allegations. On being informed by the police, JE Ghanananda Joshi’s brother-in-law Amit Kumar Joshi and UPPCL officers and employees reached the postmortem house. According to the inspector, the viscera and heart have been preserved as the cause of death was not clear in the postmortem report of the JE. The family went to Lucknow with the body.
