NEW DELHI: A day after a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in west Delhi’s Tilak Nagar, police apprehended a juvenile and arrested his two associates on Wednesday. Authorities said the victim was in a relationship with the juvenile’s sister, which the juvenile opposed. He allegedly conspired with his associates to waylay and fatally stab the man on Tuesday. The deceased, identified as a Tilak Nagar resident, was found with multiple stab wounds after police received a PCR call around 9:30 pm. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.Police investigations indicate that the minor was the prime accused, and the attack was allegedly motivated by his anger over the victim’s relationship with his sister. “Being upset and aggrieved due to the said relationship, the juvenile, along with his associates, confronted the man, which led to the commission of the offence,” authorities said. After the incident, all accused fled and hid at separate locations. The investigation team used scientific and technical methods, including CCTV analysis, sustained technical surveillance, and coordinated raids, to apprehend all suspects.During the investigation, a suspected murder weapon—a knife—was recovered near the scene and seized. Police said the killing appeared premeditated, as the accused had brought the weapon with them.
