The synchronised footsteps of an all-women contingent, the first of its kind in the district, enthralled the 77th Republic Day parade at the Jhansi police lines. The chief guest of the programme, chairman of UP legislative council Pradesh Kunwar Manvendra Pratap Singh, hoisted the flag in the presence of IG range Akash Khulhari and SSP Jhansi, BBGTS Murthy. Murthy said, “The parade aligned with the Mission Shakti goals while boosting women’s empowerment in the land known for the valour of Maharani Laxmibai.”
