Bathinda: The police have arrested a jail warder in the case involving the recovery of cash and a mobile phone from Pastor Bajinder Singh in the Mansa district jail. The warder, Nirpal Singh, was accused of allegedly providing a mobile phone to the Pastor. “Rs 2,500 in cash, along with a mobile phone and a SIM card, were recovered from Bajinder on June 25, 2025,” said a source. Bajinder was lodged there after he was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Mohali court in a rape case on April 1, 2025. A case under charges of rape and sexual harassment was registered against him in 2018 at Zirakpur in the Mohali district.Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhagirath Singh Meena confirmed that the warder was arrested in a case involving the recovery of cash and a mobile phone from the jail in June 2025.
