Vadodara: Abhilasha Agrawal, the only woman photographer from Gujarat to chronicle the Indian women’s cricketers’ ODI World Cup championship journey, is showcasing those defining moments through a photo exhibition in the city.Agrawal has organised a two-day exhibition titled ‘The Dreamcatchers: From Grit to Glory’ at Art District, Alembic City.“The exhibition captures the spirit of Indian women cricketers who went on to win the World Cup despite the initial setbacks. Each image is a testament to perseverance and passion,” Agrawal told TOI.The exhibition was inaugurated on Wednesday by Pranav Amin, managing director of Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd, and Sargam Gupta, chairman and managing director of BRG Group.A total of 148 photographs of various sizes are on display. Agrawal has followed the Indian women’s cricket team for over a dozen years, capturing their journey across 10 World Cups and Asia Cups. She was also the first woman photographer from India to be officially appointed by the Asian Cricket Council for the 2016 Asia Cup. Since then, she has travelled extensively with the Indian team, documenting their on-field achievements through her lens.
